This guide explains the available options for organizations to share the final outcomes of candidates who have completed a Karat interview. This content is intended for recruiters and other users on the Karat platform.
Benefits of sharing Candidate Outcomes with Karat
Providing candidate outcomes is essential for a successful partnership. Knowing the final outcomes enables Karat to validate and improve its internal processes, enhancing the experience for both organizations and candidates.
Sharing Candidate Outcomes allows Karat to:
- Perform role alignment by adjusting scoring bars over time, ensuring that candidates meet the appropriate qualifications for each role.

Options for Sharing Candidate Outcomes with Karat
There are different options you have to share Candidate Outcomes with Karat, choose the best option for you.
Update Candidate Outcomes Directly on the Karat Platform
You can provide candidate outcomes directly on the Karat Platform from the Active Funnel page:
- Go to Karat’s platform.
- Click Active Funnel.
- Click the Take Action button for the candidate you wish to update.
- Select the option of Move the candidate to an internal process or Remove the candidate from the process.
- Click Select to save changes.
Provide an ATS Weekly Report
Each week (or more frequently if you prefer), you can provide a report generated from your ATS that includes at least these required fields:
- Candidate's email (to ensure we match to the right candidate).
- Candidate Stage (for example, Onsite, Offer).
- Candidate Status (for example, Active, Rejected, Withdrew or other)/
Note: You can get the these reports automatically from your ATS to Karat's platform, if you set up an ATS integration with Karat. For instructions on how to set up your ATS system , see ATS integrations documentation.
The Karat Customer Operations team will then use this report to update candidate states on the Karat Platform. This data is then used to provide you with metrics and role alignment.
Most ATS systems have a way to set up these reports to automatically generate each week. The Karat Customer Operations team will supply you with a secure shared folder where you can drop the Automated ATS Report.
Karat can also provide you with a weekly download of active candidates for matching purposes.
Automate via the Karat API
With the Karat API you can provide candidate outcomes directly on the Karat Platform. The Karat API is a self-serve integration powered by GraphQL, enabling clients to connect their preferred systems with the Karat Platform seamlessly.
The Karat API allows programmatic use of Karat for most routine workflows, such as creating and deleting users and updating candidate statuses.
